It was, turned out I overlooked two set ups that have two rows of red spheres on the left and right sides too them. There must have been a large collection of spheres you were meant to turn into rings and just didn't recognize it. from this stage I don't remember any bonus stage with a ton of rings just lying around. They're also starting to get hard now too. Because there didn't seem to be any blue spheres except two sets of 9 that could be turned into rings. Taking a guess there were hidden spots where I had to jump over red spheres to find hidden rings or something. I finally said screw it and grabbed the last blue sphere.
